THE CAPTAIN'S LOG
2:40 PM -- 2004-04-02
The movie rendition of Interview With the Vampire is atrocious. What a terrible adaptation of a book. I'm most disappointed with the casting of Tom Cruise. He's no Lestat in any right! Jesus, its like watching Jerry Maguire-gone vampire. Son of a shit... I can't imagine anyone saying... "hmmm, casting directors, we need to cast someone as a french victorian vampire... oooh... lets cast Tom Cruise!" Tom Cruise, Tom Cruise... if you ever ever get nominated for another oscar I'll shoot out my kneecaps. Same goes for you, Richard Gere. Speaking about ridiculous things being popular amongst the masses. Its time for a little corner I like to call "All the Rage". Its where I talk about things I see in pop culture that seem to make a run with our votes. Poker: Today Texas Hold'em poker has become all the rage. Maybe it was Celebrity Poker on tv, or maybe ecstacy has become a vice deemed "so last year".... either way, everyone is playing poker. My brother has a poker club, and I know he'll be glad to know the rules of Texas Hold'em were showcased in this month's issue of Seventeen magazine. Poker, baby... its All the Rage. Newsflash! Wearing a hot pink tube-top that looks like you lost a ginsu knife-fight.... is still... All the Rage. Trannsexual Gender-Swapping Surgery: Tucking is so out... invasive appendage-removing is ALL THE RAGE. If you're a tranny and you still have a penis... you are soooo last decade. It looks Jim Carrey went legit, so opens the door for the next excruciatingly annoying comedian to make an ass of themselves at award shows and movies alike. I was sure it was going to be Kutcher, but I feel stumped on this issue. Why hasn't he mooned Joan Rivers yet? Nonetheless Ashton Kutcher, is All the Rage. Thats it... I only have this house to myself for the next 30 minutes.. so I need to get ready to pick up some rugrats. The Ninja, is signing off.. Sa Da Tay! Miss a Direction?: NYC kicks some serious ass. - 2007-02-26 bits n pieces 1 - 2007-02-10 Bowling for Bullshit. - 2007-01-22 Just a page break - 2007-01-14 Three weeks of fun, but only two can be gauged in such a short time window - 2006-11-07 |
